Rancho Pescadero Hires Henar Gil Rios as General Manager

Rancho Pescadero has welcomed Henar Gil Rios as general manager. With over 25 years of experience in luxury hospitality management, Gil brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to her new role. The newly remodeled property opened its doors last November to unveil a complete transformation inclusive of 103 suites and villas, three restaurant concepts, a 25,000-square-foot spa with culinary and wellness programs driven by authentic Baja culture and landscape.

Hailing from Spain, Gil is fluent in four languages with a keen cultural prowess honed from her time spent working throughout the U.S., Mexico, Europe and Asia. Her previous roles include leadership positions at global luxury properties, including Rosewood Mayakoba, Banyan Tree Hotels & Resorts, Four Seasons Mexico City and Taaras Beach Resort in Malaysia. Prior to joining Rancho Pescadero, she served as general manager for the Ozen Collection Maldives.

“Henar joins our team with the highest recommendations from her previous properties,” said resort owner Lisa Harper. “Throughout this reimagination phase, it was crucial that we stay true to our identity and maintain the warm and welcoming atmosphere that’s become synonymous with the Rancho Pescadero name. Our property has always been a very high-touch environment where the staff is encouraged to connect with our guests. Seeing Henar’s approach to guest service, we immediately knew she was the right candidate.”

In her new role, Gil will lead Rancho’s hospitality and operations teams while managing daily operations at the luxury resort in Baja. Emphasizing Rancho’s preeminent commitment to regenerating the local community through positive environmental and socioeconomic impact, Gil will guide the resort team in paving the way towards a more transformative future for tourism in the region.

“From the moment I met Lisa, I was drawn to her passion for this destination, property and the incredible members of our team and community who have helped Rancho become a true mainstay in Todos Santos,” said Gil. “On the heels of an incredible opening, we’re tapping into the area’s bountiful resources to create a memorable guest experience that highlights the beauty and magic of Baja. As we continue to develop new programs, a major focus will be giving back to the local community. I’m incredibly fortunate and excited to share such a special property and mission with our past, present and future guests.”
