Riu Hotels To Develop Mexico Resort

Riu Hotels & Resorts has announced a third project in the Caribbean and Mexico slated to open this year: ClubHotel Riu Vallarta on the Jalisco shore in Mexico. The 550-room resort, which is scheduled to open in November, will join the 400-room Riu Palace Riviera Maya in Mexico (slated to open Feb. 6) and the 612-room Riu Palace Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic (opening in May). With these three all-inclusive properties, Riu will have 30 hotels in the Caribbean and 14,030 rooms in seven countries by the end of 2006.
