Sandals Launches New Accommodations in Jamaica and St. Lucia

Sandals Resorts International has announced expansions to its flagship family resort, Beaches Negril in Jamaica, and Sandals Halcyon Beach in Castries, St. Lucia. The new additions at both resorts are open for bookings for travel beginning April 6, 2023.

Beaches Negril will offer 12 new butler suites, bringing its total room count to 197. The new additions include six Firesky Reserve Villas on the northern end of the resort, each offering four bedrooms and spanning three stories and 3,700 square feet. The Firesky Reserve Villas have living areas, kitchens, private oceanfront plunge pools and rooftop decks with dining terraces offering views of the Caribbean Sea. The villas can accommodate up to 10 guests.

On the opposite end of the resort’s coastline and comprising six suites, the Eventide Penthouse Collection ranges from three to four bedrooms each and offers access to a rooftop terrace. Spacious kitchens and living areas indoors give way to balconies and walkout terraces. These suites can accommodate up to 18 persons.

Complementing Beaches Negril’s existing 10 restaurants, Pirates Island Waterpark and additional amenities is a new building that houses the resort’s Camp Sesame. It is designed around the brand’s partnership with Sesame Workshop and will debuting in summer 2023.

Sandals Halcyon Beach in St. Lucia has announced the addition of 25 butler accommodations. The expansion includes 20 Joli Beachfront Suites built on the edge of the shore, offering a combination of suites with walkout beach access and private pools, besides second-story accommodations with balconies featuring Tranquility Soaking Tubs. Offering an open-air layout, suite interiors are outfitted in natural woods, shades of blues and floral touches, with king-sized beds positioned to take in sea views from sunrise to sunset.

Five new Koko Rondoval Villas will be set among the resort’s lush landscaping, mere steps from the sea. The Rondovals, a first for Sandals Halcyon with its rounded walls and thatched roof, will focus on bringing the outdoors in with windows that span nearly the entire wall, giving the illusion that the villa extends onto the private patio with plunge pool.

The expansion will bring the total number of rooms and suites to 194 accommodations, complementing the resort’s six gourmet restaurants, a range of watersports, access to golf, besides an additional 21 eateries at the two nearby Sandals Resorts in St. Lucia.

Expansions at Beaches Negril and Sandals Halcyon mark the start of news projected for 2023 and beyond, including the opening of Sandals Dunn’s River, debuting in May 2023, as well as additional projects and new openings across Jamaica, Turks & Caicos, Curaçao, St. Vincent & The Grenadines and more.
