Sandos Caracol Becomes First Resort to Offer NOOA Educational Tool

Sandos Caracol Eco Resort & Spa in the Riviera Maya, Mexico and the Pelopidas Foundation, in association with The Climate Institute, has become the first resort in the world to offer guests the Magic Planet, an exclusive educational tool developed by National Oceanographic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

The tool was designed to teach guests the impact that our daily activities have on the land, ocean and atmosphere. The Magic Planet device provides an interactive multi-media platform that can run simulations, display live streaming media from any region of the world and offer real-time games which aim to engage participants in a friendly environment.

Using a touch screen module, guests can see climate conditions, carbon pollution, population density and other features for any given point within the globe. Currently, the Magic Planet is a key exhibit in more than 100 museums, planetariums, science centers and visitor centers worldwide.
