Savannah’s Mansion on Forsyth Park Sold, Will Undergo Renovation

The Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, Georgia, has been acquired by Left Lane, an New York City-based hotel and real estate company, for $52.5 million. Under the new ownership, this fall, the historic 126-key property will begin a multimillion-dollar phased transformation and expansion project, offering a new urban resort that is expected to be completed in spring 2024.

Upon completion, the property will have 149 guestrooms and a range of food and beverage concepts, including a main restaurant, club bar and lounge, pool restaurant and bar, lobby bar, multiple event spaces, spa and retail options. In spring 2023, the property will introduce a new restaurant concept inside the original mansion, which currently houses the hotel’s current restaurant. The mansion also houses a culinary school where guests can hone their skills. Good to know: The school will remain operational in the new urban resort.

Originally built in 1888 as a private residence for the Lewis Kayton family and converted to a hotel in 2005, the new Mansion on Forsyth Park will offer a range of amenities and programming. Guests will have access to special events, bespoke local shopping experiences, holistic wellness programming and signature retail offerings.

According to Left Lane, the new Mansion on Forsyth Park will offer holistic wellness programming elevated with luxurious and restorative experiences tailored to each guest. Guests will have the option to relax poolside or indulge at the spa, as well as explore a number of hidden hideaways that will be found throughout the grounds.
