Select Hotels Support Breast Cancer Awareness

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so think pink this October when making your travel plans. Here are a few hotels that are offering specials in support of breast cancer awareness.

New York City's Broadway Hotel & Hostel and the Marrakech Hotel are launching "Pink Awareness Rooms," featuring pink linens, towels, blankets and pillows.  portion of the proceeds from each night's stay in these rooms will be donated to the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer. At Marrakech Hotel's Kazbar lounge, proceeds from the newly created pink "Cause-mopolitan" will also be donated to the charity. Those who wish to make a personal contribution of $100 or more will be rewarded with a 10 percent discount on a future visit. Visit

St. Petersburg, Florida's Renaissance Vinoy Resort & Golf Club will donate $1 from every Pink Ribbon Mojito served poolside to a local breast cancer organization. At the Vinoy Day Spa and Salon guests will treat themselves with special Think Pink treatments such as the pink Pomegranate Pedi-CURE. Visit

Throughout October, New Orleans' Marriott New Orleans restaurant 5 Fifty 5 and 55 Fahrenheit lounge will offer “pink hours” from 12:00pm – 11:00pm.  During this time, all diners who order dessert will have a portion of the proceeds donated to a local breast cancer organization.  Guests can feel good when indulging in the Crème Brûlée & Pomegranate Martini combo at the lounge because $2.00 from the treat will also be donated to the charity.  Visit

The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld's nèu lotus spa will offer special “pink hours” throughout the month of October in which 10 percent of all proceeds from spa treatments will be donated to breast cancer research.  Pink hours will be available Mon. – Fri., 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Visit
