The second stop of Travel Agent’s recent tour of Cancun properties was another Palace Resorts property, Le Blanc Spa Resort, Cancun. Whereas Beach Palace, the first Palace Resorts property we saw during the week, was geared mainly toward singles and friend getaways, Le Blanc has couples written all over it. In fact, the all-inclusive, adults-only resort is made of about 90 percent of honeymooners.

There are five room categories here. The only one that couldn't be improved upon is the Royal Junior Suite. We saw room #315, which is just one of 26 of these rooms, and we actually recommend booking it over the Presidential Suite, although we didn’t see the Presidential Suite, and the Governor’s Suite, which we did see. Why? Well, the bed is located in the center of the room, and the windows, which offer great ocean views and excellent light, are located both in front of the bed and to the left.

We also saw Governor's Suite room #217, which was just like the Royal Junior Suite except bigger, but we just felt the Royal Junior Suite was more intimate and cozy and. Since it was smaller, the Royal Junior Suite was better lit than the Governor's. The rest of Le Blanc is equally as classy, including its four restaurants that offer everything from Italian to Japanese and Chinese cuisine and a fifth restaurant (opening sometime in January) that will serve French food.

The spa was also quite impressive. Hands down, the best room at the 19-treatment-room spa was the “BlancDior,” or the master spa suite. This room comes with all the essentials from a sauna and steam room to couples massage beds. The price includes a two-hour minimum, aromatherapy and a bottle of wine.
