Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten Upgrades Include New Aqua Park and Kids Club

The all-inclusive Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten recently announced new upgrades and amenities at all three resorts being completed this summer, including a new Kids Club and Aqua Park, additional dining options, and refurbished guest rooms and spa facilities, including a new fitness center.

The family-friendly Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino recently launched a new 4,000-square-foot Aqua Park and will be the first and only resort with an aqua park and dedicated kids pool in St. Maarten, according to a Sonesta Resorts St. Maarten news release. The 1,400-square-foot pool features three aquatic and animal themed slides and is only 20 inches deep, making it safe and fun for kids ages 3 to 12.

The pool deck comes complete with loungers and umbrellas for parents creating the perfect environment to share quality time and cool off in the warm Caribbean sun. The Kids Club section will open at the end of August and consists of a 1,000 square foot indoor space and 2,500 square foot outdoor area, with additional splash pads and playground connecting to the Aqua Park, offering a safe, fun and entertaining environment for the little ones.

Additionally at Sonesta Maho Beach Resort, a complete refurbishment of two floors of guest rooms was completed in 2015 and another three floors will be done by the end of 2016, with a reconstruction of interiors and layout, upgrades to soft goods, furnishing and décor. 

In dining news, there’s the addition of Jing’s Restaurant, serving an array of Chinese specialties located in Maho Village adjacent to Sonesta Maho Beach Resort and Sonesta Ocean Point Resort, giving guests a great all-inclusive choice to dine “outside” of the resort.

Over at the adults-only Sonesta Ocean Point Resort, an entirely new 1,700-square-foot gym is being built adjacent to the Ocean Point building and will be completed at the end of August. The modern gym will feature the latest exercise equipment from Life Fitness, personal training and coaching facilities, while offering beautiful views of Maho Beach and plane spotting from its floor-to-ceiling glass facade. 

Just completed, the adults-only Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort, Casino & Spa refurbished its first floor Flamboyant building beachfront rooms by removing existing patios and upgrading with chic new private beach cabanas providing an elegant atmosphere for lounging in front of bay views.
