St. Lucia’s Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa Unveils $6M Reno

St. Lucia’s all-inclusive Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa reopened on October 4 after completing a $6 million renovation during its annual closure in September. Enhancements touched on guestrooms, the CocoLand Kidz Klub, the Wedding Center, tennis and basketball courts, the main bar area, lobby and hallways, among other areas.

The resort’s multi-use Peter John’s Lounge has received a complete makeover. After 9 p.m., the venue is an adults-only space where guests can enjoy live entertainment, rum tastings at the Sugar Cane Rum Bar, and the weekly “Chocolate Extravaganza.” The Piano Bar now has a granite countertop where guests can unwind during karaoke and sing-alongs.

The resort’s four basketball courts and four night-lit tennis courts have all been refreshed. Over at the CocoLand Waterpark, the 400-foot Coconut Cannon and the 300-foot Coconut Coaster have received updates, while the 1,500-foot-long Lazy River was also refreshed. At the CocoLand Kidz Klub, the team was hands-on choosing a fun color palette for the 50,0000-square-foot refresh.

At Kilibwi Corner guests will now have more room to browse in this expanded sundry shop adjacent to the lobby. The lobby restrooms have been retiled and sport new fixtures, including mirrors and lighting.

The Sanctuary Spa sports new windows framing views of the Maria Islands Nature Reserve; and La Luna Restaurant now has a new roof. Ooolside, the floor at The Cove features new tiles. New menu covers and updated menus have been reintroduced into the resort’s six à la carte restaurants.

Besides a new wedding office, improvements are also underway in the creation of the resort’s first official Bridal Suite, located adjacent to the Wedding Center. This spacious suite will provide everything the bride and her party need to get ready for the ceremony. There will be a large mirror, the makeup counter with seating will have both lamps and lighted mirrors. The group can also enjoy wine and snacks from the buffet.

Coconut Bay’s 250 guestrooms have been deep steam-cleaned, as new sofas installed in the adults-only Harmony Wing’s fourth floor rooms, while the remaining sofas have all been reupholstered. New in-room directories were created and have been reintroduced into rooms, though supply-chain disruptions delayed the same for soft goods. Now scheduled for completion prior to the holiday season the new room décor and amenities will include drapes, bed runners, pillow shams and lumbar pillows.

Rates are inclusive of island transfers from Hewanorra International Airport. Children under three stay free, additional children (ages thee to 11) stay for $39 per night, while children aged 12 to 17 stay for $59 per night.
