Starwood Offers Agents the Chance to Earn $250 in Resort Credits

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide recently announced the launch of “Reveal a World of Possibilities” – a new resorts campaign designed to educate travel professionals on the more than 200 resorts in Starwood’s global portfolio.

Beginning this week, travel professionals can visit StarwoodPro.com to view a  six-minute video that focuses on the company’s dynamic resort portfolio. After completing the learning burst, travel professionals will earn $250 in resort credits to share with their best customers.

“Starwood’s robust resorts portfolio spans the globe and includes many award-winning hotels in sought-after destinations, where guests can enjoy a range of exceptional experiences including golf, spa, romance, family vacations or island escapes,” said Chris Austin, vice president, global retail leisure and luxury sales for Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

“By participating in this exciting, new learning burst, travel professionals will not only learn more about our resorts, but also be able to surprise and delight their customers with a special resort credit for their next vacation," Austin said.

“Reveal a World of Possibilities” is live from July 11 through August 8, 2011. Participants will discover Starwood’s global collection of resorts through a series of breathtaking visuals and learn about the unique experiences offered in desirable destinations around the world.

Travel professionals will then earn ten $25 resort credit award certificates to present to their clients as a special gift when booking a resort vacation. The certificates will be valid for bookings made via the GDS, call center, web or preferred tour operators and wholesalers at participating properties.

Valid for travel from September 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012, the award certificates will be fully customized and include the agency name. The certificates can be combined with current Starwood offers, including the newly launched SPG Kids Pass.

Starwood’s resorts portfolio includes more than 200 properties in 52 countries under the St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, Sheraton, Le Méridien, Westin, and Four Points by Sheraton brands.  Experiences range from the Walt Disney World Dolphin, a Sheraton Hotel, Florida, to the Westin Maui Resort & Spa, Ka’anapali, Hawaii, the St. Regis Punta Mita, Mexico and The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino, Greece
