Starwood’s Luxury Invasion to Peru

PATAGONIA, Chile -- Travel Agent sat down with representatives of Starwood Hotels and Resorts at last week’s TravelMart Latin America 2009 and got some details about the opening of three luxury resorts in Peru.

The first Westin in South America will open in August in the form of the 301-room Westin Lima. Starwood’s Palacio del Inka, Cusco is slated to open its doors also in 2010 with 187 rooms while the Tambo del Inka Hotel will open November 15 with 128 rooms. Finally, Starwood’s Hotel Paracas, A Luxury Collection Reort will open within the next month with 120 rooms. Starwood picked the right time to open new resorts in Peru as the country will be the host of TravelMart Latin America 2010.
