Starwood Tapped for Ninth Shanghai Hotel

Shanghai Forrester (Zhabei) Development Ltd. has signed an agreement with Starwood Hotels & Resorts for the company to manage the Four Points by Sheraton Shanghai, Daning. The 315-room hotel, opening in mid-2008, becomes Starwood's ninth in Shanghai, and 50th in greater China, with 25 in operation and the other 25 in development. The new Four Points will be part of an integrated project, "Daning-the Life Hub," an open-air urban lifestyle center opening in central Zhabei. The project consists of 15 low-rise and high-rise buildings, 11 piazzas and courtyards, a pedestrian promenade, a retail center, offices and residential space as well as the new hotel.
