Timbers Resorts Announces Opening of The Sebastian Vail

Timbers Resorts announced this week the opening of its latest property, The Sebastian Vail. The Vail, Colo., hotel is the town's newest boutique hotel and residence club, according to Timbers.

“We have been looking for that perfect jewel in Vail, Colorado for many years and we are very excited to have found it here at The Sebastian,” said David A. Burden, CEO and founder of Timbers Resorts.  “We have expanded our brand into hotel and restaurant management so that we can ensure the highest quality of standards and the experience that our owners and guests have come to expect from Timbers Resorts’ properties worldwide.”

The property is located at the entrance to Vail Village, near bars, restaurants, galleries, shops, and most importantly, ski slopes. The hotel itself includes a fine dining restaurant, a spa, a bar, a cafe and meeting and conference spaces.

Luxury hotelier Michael Oprish, former general manager of Bernardus Lodge in Carmel, Calif., was hired by Timbers Resorts and appointed general manager of The Sebastian to direct and oversee all daily operations.
