Vail to Welcome New Boutique Hotel in December

Timbers Resorts has expanded its portfolio with The Sebastian, a 100-room, seven-suite hotel and 36-unit private residence club scheduled to debut in December 2010 as Vail’s newest boutique resort and residence club. All rooms are appointed with custom-designed furnishings and fabrics. Group travel planners will find a brand new 7,000-square-foot conference center and meeting facilities with expert support staff and the latest infrastructure.

Luxury hotelier Michael Oprish was appointed general manager of The Sebastian and will direct and oversee all daily operations. Formerly the general manager of The Bernardus Lodge in Carmel, CA, Oprish brings more than 25 years of experience in the luxury hotel and travel industry and has covered all aspects of resort operations and management.

Easily accessible from Eagle Vail Airport, The Sebastian, a Preferred Hotel, will introduce Bloom, a destination spa; Frost Bar, which will offer a selection of small bites and throwback cocktails in a contemporary setting; and The Library, a place to gather year-round with plush seating and intriguing reads. Market, an artisan deli and provisioner, will be the source for sundries and to-go items, as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Drawing on the trend of farm-to-table cuisine firmly rooted throughout the gourmet capital of Napa Valley, Block 16 will feature seasonally inspired fare.

The Private Residence Club will be comprised of 36 residences with two different offerings.  A four-week membership will start at $310,000 and a Founder’s Club eight-week offering will start at $580,000.  The two- and three-bedroom residences will range from 1,300 to 1,850 square feet.  Both offerings will include membership in Timbers Collection, which is comprised of a host of perks and privileges from travel partners to reciprocity among resorts in the Timbers Resorts portfolio. Timbers Resorts is enhancing the ownership experience with increased activities ranging from wine tastings to cooking classes to poolside barbecues. Details on the Private Residence Club will be released later this summer.
