Velas Resorts Debuts New Instagram Photo Tour for Teens

Teenagers who love to share their vacation on social media can now participate in a new Instagram Photo Tour at Mexico’s Velas Resorts.

The tour, led by the resorts’ community managers, who handle the properties’ social media, includes tips on lighting, exposure, angles and editing apps to achieve the perfect photo. Stops on the tour vary by resort but may include an ecological bridge, cenotes (natural sinkholes), hidden terraces, beaches, peacock habitats, botanical gardens and more.

The complimentary tours, which last between one and two hours based on the resort, will be offered through the spring season for kids ages 10 and up. All photos taken on the tour can be uploaded to Instagram and hashtagged with #MyVelasExperience to be entered into a prize drawing. Participating resorts include Grand Velas Riviera Maya, Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit and Velas Vallarta.

Additionally, he is responsible for five other gourmet specialty restaurants, multiple bars, 24-hour in-suite service and the catering operation of the 539-all-suite resort.

Lopez most recently acted as executive sous chef at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, where he had been since 2014.
