Villa-des-Prés, a private mansion, will open in spring 2023 in the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the Paris neighborhood where fashion meets culture. Located in the heart of the sixth arrondissement, Villa-des-Prés will offer 34 bedrooms, a bar with a green patio, a spa with pool, a gym, a sauna and a treatment room. The 20th-century façade, typically Parisian, has been completely refurbished, while its cut stone balconies on several floors and external moldings set the tone.
The hotel offers an opportunity to rediscover the Rive Gauche of Paris, a neighborhood between the Seine and the Luxembourg Gardens that is full of historical interest, a place where art galleries and bookshops sit alongside independent cinemas, but that is also home to cafes and iconic Parisian fashion brands.
Like the public spaces, the rooms and suites at Villa-des-Prés are an elegant combination of bespoke furniture and works of art: Amélie du Chalard of Amélie Maison d’Art has collaborated with six artists and gathered nearly 50 works to decorate the walls of the hotel. Villa-des-Prés has worked closely with the French interior decorator Bruno Borrione to design the interior layout, supervise the artistic direction and create bespoke furniture. Borrione has worked closely with a team of French artisans, who were particularly involved in creating the lights, the stain glass windows, the furniture, the soft furnishings and the different wallpapers.
The bar, with its green patio and menu of signature cocktails, is open to everyone, welcoming hotel guests and Parisians from morning to evening. Hotel guests will also have access to a dedicated wellness area comprising an indoor pool, sauna, sensory shower and treatment room as well as a spacious gym.
