W South Beach, located on the ocean at 22nd street in Miami, will have its grand opening July 2, 2009.
The 408-unit condo hotel is the product of many minds including developer David Edelstein, whose other properties include the Lincoln Road pedestrian mall in Miami and New York’s Park Laurel building along with Paula Hayes, Anna Busta, Danny Clinch, Yabu Pushelberg and Costas Kondylis.
The amenities of the hotel include Mr. Chow and Solea restaurant, Living Room Bar, The Grove and Wall Bar & Lounge.
Also included is Wet (the pool), Bliss Spa, Sweat (the signature W South Beach Gym), Swoosh (a full size basketball court overlooking the city), three-story bungalows, water sports, Swing (a full size tennis court), private plunge pool and 24-hour Whatever/Whenever service.
Prospective guests can go on tours of the hotel, where they will get a first look at the amenities offered.
W South Beach features public spaces designed by Anna Busta of Studio B Design and guest rooms by Yabu Pushelberg, including one- and two-bedroom Ocean Suites, five Beach Bungalows and Extreme WOW Suites. The hotel features landscape designs by design garden artist Paula Hayes and artwork by rock-n-roll photographer, Danny Clinch.
