The Martinique Tourism Authority recently announced that American Airlines added a second weekly flight from Miami on Wednesdays to Martinique. Flights will run from November 27, 2013 to March 26, 2014.
The island has worked very hard to become more accessible to American travelers and this additional flight complements the existing Saturday flight, allowing more flexibility in travel arrangements.
The flights will depart Miami at 11:30 a.m. and arrive in Martinique at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Also on both days, flights will depart Martinique at 4:25 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 6:25 p.m.
“This expansion showcases American Airlines’ commitment to Martinique as a tourist destination,” said Karine Roy-Camille, commissioner of the Martinique Tourism Authority, in a written release. “Martinique is more than ready to welcome American travelers during the winter season and beyond. With this additional flight and better air service, the ‘Island of Flowers’ can become a top Caribbean destination for visitors coming from the United States.”
