Cougar Cruise on the Rocks Says Carnival

Listen up older single ladies: If you want to find your cub, it's not going to happen on a Carnival cruise any time soon. USA Today is reporting that Carnival has nixed the "cougar cruise," even in the face of increasing demand. Last month, Carnival Elation operated a three-day cruise what was billed at the time as the "first cougar cruise," organized by Los Gatos, CA-based Singles Travel Company.

Travel Agent contacted Carnival for further explanation as to why the cruise was axed and was told they don’t have any specific comment beyond confirming that they are not planning to host future groups marketed under this theme and that it was a business decision.

The first cougar cruise promised "three days of singles meet-ups, dancing and partying that draws its inspiration from Valerie Gibson's 2001 book Cougar: A Guide for Older Women Dating Younger Men."
