Amadeus named Darrin Deck vice president of sales and account management for its North America operations. In his new role, Deck will focus on leading and managing client relationships to deliver on the needs of Amadeus’ corporate travel companies and online travel agencies in the U.S. and Canada. He will provide leadership in sales, marketing and delivery of products and services by leveraging Amadeus’ IT capabilities and distribution services and solutions.
An industry veteran with more than 25 years in the travel and technology field, Deck brings extensive experience in corporate travel management, leisure travel fulfillment, automation, and processing. He reports directly to Vic Pynn, executive vice president, Americas and is based out of Amadeus’ Chicago office.
Pynn said that Deck especially brings extensive experience and expertise in data management, an area of growing interest in the travel sector and a focus for Amadeus in helping customers achieve their business objectives.
Deck held several positions at TRX since 2002, including vice president and general manager of transaction processing, with a scope that spanned all transaction processing and product services in the U.S., Europe, and India. In his most recent position at TRX as vice president of product operations, Deck was responsible for all operations across all product lines, including transaction processing, on-line booking and data management businesses.
