American Express Travel Honors Avoya Travel’s David Walsh

Avoya Travel has announced that David Walsh, owner of CWCruises, an independent agency in the Avoya Travel Network, was named a 2017 Pacesetter by American Express Travel. Avoya nominated Walsh from among more than 1,000 independent agencies in the Avoya Network. American Express Travel Pacesetters are selected based on their superior customer service, sales performance, involvement in the travel agent community, and commitment to delivering extraordinary travel experiences.

Walsh owns and operates CWCruises, which has been an independent agency in the Avoya Network for more than eight years. In that time, CWCruises has received accolades for sales excellence, including Avoya's highest honor of Chairman's Club every year since its inception and recognition as a top producer for Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Oceania Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, and Silversea Cruises. He was also honored with Travel Agent magazine's Top 25 Travel Agents award.

Walsh specializes in creating custom vacations on luxury ocean and river cruises. He projects his vacation sales from new and repeat clients will be over $4 million in 2018, with collective sales for CWCruises at over $5 million.

“David Walsh is a talented business owner and travel expert who has reached levels of sales success that are rarely achieved by travel professionals, and for this he is very deserving of the recognition,” said Jeff Anderson, executive vice president, Avoya Travel, in a written statement.

Avoya Travel, a family-owned marketing and travel technology company, has been an American Express Travel Representative for more than 30 years and one of their largest sellers of cruises and tours. Avoya provides exclusive discounts, amenities, and customer service to travelers worldwide.
