Avanti Destinations has named Philadelphia-based Bob Pieri as northeast regional sales director. Previously, both northeast and southeast were handled by Miami-based Paula Ruidiaz, who remains Avanti’s southeast regional sales director.
“We’ve known that the northeast deserves its own dedicated regional sales director, we were just looking for the right person,” said Avanti’s president and founder, Harry Dalgaard.
A veteran of the travel industry for more than 30 years, Pieri was director of sales – consortia at Travel Impressions for the past 10 years. For 10 years before that, he was district sales manager – US Airways Vacations at Mark Travel. He started in the travel business on the agency side, as owner of Continental Travel Center (Philadelphia).
