Disruptive Restaurant Group just announced its first partnership with Denihan Hospitality Group to develop and manage the food and beverage concepts at The James West Hollywood – Sunset, set to open January 2017.
Disruptive Restaurant Group, an sbe subsidiary, is set to develop and manage the hotel’s restaurants and bars, while Denihan Hospitality Group will operate the hotel under The James brand.
Disruptive recruited Michael Schwartz, of restaurants like Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink, to open the second outpost of his new Italian concept Fi’lia at the hotel. Fi’lia will exhibit Schwartz’s approach to Italian food with handmade breads and pastas emphasized with seasonal ingredients. Zachary Patterson, the mind behind the cocktails of Melrose Umbrella Co., is acting as the mixology partner for the hotel’s bars.
The lobby bar concept at The James West Hollywood is slated to be an elevated educational and friendly social cocktail experience mixed with fun entertainment. Also debuting with the hotel is an elevated grab-and-go marketplace in the hotel’s lobby with artisanal wines and cheese, salads, sandwiches, gourmet coffees and teas.
Located on the corner of Sunset and La Cienga in Los Angeles, The James will be the first ground-up project in West Hollywood in the last 30 years. The property will feature 286 rooms, a luxury pool and 10,000 square feet of flexible event space, complete with a ballroom, event facilities and meeting spaces.
