The Family Travel Association (FTA), a new industry coalition dedicated to inspiring families to travel, has named Chris "Chez" Chesak as the organization's executive director.
Chesak brings over 20 years experience in corporate partnerships, business development, and organizational leadership to the FTA. In his new role, Chesak will develop and implement programs for the group and will oversee the recruitment of new travel industry suppliers, influencers and media partners.
Prior to joining the FTA, Chesak served as director of partnerships for the Intrepid Group and Adventure.com. Previously, he spent nine years at the Adventure Travel Trade Association (ATTA) in various executive and business development roles. Chesak has also had stints at outdoor associations like the American Hiking Society (where he managed the National Trails Day program) and The American Alpine Club.
The FTA said it aims to promote all the child-friendly experiences that families can share together, simplify the perceived and real complexities of planning family vacations, and educate consumers on the positive and lasting impact travel has on young people.
