InteleTravel.com has announced that industry veteran Dave Spinelli has joined its executive team as vice president of industry relations.
Spinelli has 26 years of travel industry experience and previously held a similar role in recent years at Vacation.com, which is now part of Travel Leaders Network.
In his new position, Spinelli’s responsibility will focus on InteleTravel’s partner contract negotiations, ensuring maximum goals are attained for all preferred brands.
James Ferrara, president of InteleTravel.com, says Spinelli is a valuable and strategic addition to the company’s team, noting that he believes Spinelli will be able to maximize earnings, develop more competitive products and provide more education and support for the success of InteleTravel.
In addition to Spinelli’s appointment, InteleTravel has also announced the promotion of the former director of marketing, Tara Minson, to the position of vice president of marketing and communications.
Minson’s prior responsibilities focused on supplier relations, marketing communications and event planning. For nine years she worked to communicate effectively with, educate and motivate the company’s agents.
Minson most recently spearheaded InteleTravel’s “Dream Maker” nationwide seminar/trade show series, which averaged over 200 travel agent attendees in each of a dozen major cities around the nation. She also introduced an extensive video curriculum called InteleTravel University, which focuses on training agents to sell travel.
InteleTravel’s management enhancement comes in reaction to significant growth at the agency over the past several years, including an increase in the number of affiliated travel agents as well as leisure travel sales. The company currently has over 15,000 affiliated Independent Travel Agents and within the past 12 months those agents have sold over $100 million in worldwide leisure travel products.
