Nominations Open for CLIA Hall of Fame

The Cruise Lines International Association is now taking nominations from its travel agent members and travel community for the third annual cruise industry hall of fame. Winner will be announced in March at CLIA's cruise3sixty conference in Fort Lauderdale. The nominating period, which ends Feb. 17, recognizes individuals who have helped to evolve the cruise industry. "Travel agents play an indispensable role in cruising's incredible growth, so there is really no one better to identify and honor industry greats," says Terry Dale, CLIA's president and CEO. Criteria for nominations should be based on the nominee's accomplishments in the industry, how they affected the industry, if the nominee can be considered a role model and what the nominee did to set him or her apart from others. A hall of fame nomination committee comprised of travel agency representatives and CLIA member cruise line executives will review submissions.
