USTOA Starts Executive Search

Bob Whitley

The United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) has launched its search for an executive director to head the organization after the passing of Bob Whitley, longtime president of the USTOA, on May 13.

“We are undertaking a thorough and all-encompassing search to find the best qualified person,” said John Stachnik, association chairman of USTOA, following a special two-day strategic plans and board meeting.  “Under the 32-year leadership of Bob Whitley, USTOA flourished and grew as an organization.  Following in Bob’s footsteps will not be easy; yet we know that there is a special someone out there who can help us achieve our goals.

The association said it plans to retain an executive search firm to coordinate the process. In the meantime, prospective candidates are invited to contact USTOA by e-mail at [email protected].
