Where Are They Now: 30Under30 Advisors Share Top Tips

As we count down to the debut of this year’s class of 30Under30, we’re checking in with previous honorees to see how they have been faring since being featured, as well as to get their take on some of the latest trends in the travel industry. We’ll be sharing their responses on our official Instagram account, @travelagentcentral

We asked past 30Under30 alumni about some of their biggest accomplishments since being inducted into the program, as well as their biggest advice for travel advisors trying to reach the younger generation of travelers. Our 30Under30 alumni also shared suppliers who have inspired them with their commitment to their employees, sustainability or other good works, as well as their favorite recent trips.

In our first entry, Ryan Barks of Travel Haus of St. Louis, an Ensemble member agency, shares his thoughts on connecting with younger travelers. Barks was named to our 30Under30 in last year’s feature at the age of 27, after moving from the flight-only industry to a more full-fledged position at Travel Haus. There, he’s honed his “elevator pitch” and ability to zero in on the perfect hotel for a given client, which he says can make or break the travel experience.

Travel Agent’s 30Under30 program, now in its 12th year, recognizes the top rising stars in the next generation of travel advisors and promotes becoming a travel advisor as an exciting, dynamic career path. We will announce this year’s list of winners in our August issue.

Until then, follow us on Instagram @travelagentcentral for the latest updates from the program.
