Sailing on Celebrity Apex this week, hundreds of advisors participating in the annual World Travel Holdings' conference for Dream Vacations, CruiseOne and Cruises Inc. learned which agency and advisor had won the group's top annual awards.
The awards were announced in a ceremony hosted by Drew Daly, senior vice president and general manager, and Joelle Delva, vice president of operations.
Franchise of the Year
This year, the "Franchise of the Year Award" was re-named the "Bobbye Haupt Franchise of the Year Award" in memory of a beloved franchisee who passed away earlier this year.
That award for top franchise agency went to Mara Hargarther and Claudia Thaler, franchise owners and sisters, from Hargarther, Thaler & Associates – Dream Vacations. The award recognized their efforts and leadership throughout the pandemic as as for their tenacity and fearlessness in expanding their agency footprint to South Florida by signing an agreement with a longstanding travel agency.
Agent of the Year
Denise Valente received the "Cruises Inc. Agent of the Year" award for her leadership in bringing the Cruises Inc. community together with monthly "MeetUps" and inspiring fellow advisors to think outside the box when marketing their business.
This year’s awards ceremony featured both "virtual" and in-person components so all advisors could participate in the annual event. An at-home virtual ceremony featured departmental awards where advisors were recognized for their achievements in sales, marketing, public relations, social media, IT and more.
Onboard, the ceremony honored those who served the network by participating on a committee, those with milestone anniversaries and top-producing advisors.
