Hilton Ramps Up Pride Month Offers

To celebrate National LGBT Pride Month in June, Hilton Hotels & Resorts is offering a slate of LGBT options and offers, including the relaunch of a newly updated GoOut website.

“Hilton is committed to fulfilling our brand promise of ensuring that every guest feels cared for, valued and respected by setting the stage for LGBT travelers on any travel occasion,” said Rob Palleschi, global head, Hilton Hotels & Resorts. “We launched our Stay Hilton. Go Out. campaign in 2012 because being good stewards of the LGBT community is a top priority for Hilton. Leading the charge on important issues is part of our DNA. It’s why we always look for new ways to authentically connect with LGBT travelers – from sponsoring LGBT festivals to our extensive website re-launch.”

In honor of National LGBT Pride Month, Hilton Hotels & Resorts is demonstrating its continued commitment to the LGBT community through the following:

  • Refreshing the Hilton.com/GoOut website to feature LGBT tastemakers sharing travel experiences, tips and unique content. The website has become a central part of Stay Hilton. Go Out. featuring information about LGBT travel, a global calendar of Pride Month events, promotions, relevant news and more.
  • Serving as the official host hotel or hotel partner of LGBT events, including WorldPride in Toronto [June 20 – 29]; Capital Pride in Washington, D.C. [May 30 – June 8] and WhistlerPRIDE in Whistler, British Columbia [January 26 – February 2] earlier this year; OUT 100 and the GLAAD Media Awards. Hilton Hotels & Resorts also served as the presenting sponsor of Capital Pride’s Heroes Gala in Washington, D.C., in May, where Palleschi honored community members for their outstanding LGBT advocacy. In addition, the brand sponsored Capital Pride’s Parade, Festival and 3rd Annual Music In The Night, an evening featuring live musical theater performances to kick off Washington, D.C.’s Pride festivities.
  • Hosting the wedding reception for co-plaintiffs Paul Katami and Jeff Zarrillo of California’s “Proposition 8” Supreme Court case, which defeated the law banning same-sex marriage in the state nearly one year ago. Hilton will host the wedding at its iconic hotel, The Beverly Hilton, on June 28 in Beverly Hills, Calif. to celebrate this monumental moment with the LGBT community. Parent company Hilton Worldwide is committed to making wedding moments memorable by allowing couples to express their individuality, honor their cultural heritage and observe their own rituals at properties around the world.

Additionally, last week, Jeff Diskin, executive vice president of commercial services at Hilton Worldwide, was appointed to the GLAAD National Board of Directors.
