Ritz-Carlton Announces First China Resort

With five Ritz-Carlton hotels already under development in China, the hotel company has announced plans to open its first resort there in 2008. The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya will feature 451 rooms, suites and private villas with plunge pools in Hainan Province, along the South China Sea. The resort will also have the largest spa in the region, measuring 30,000 square feet, along with three restaurants, a Ritz Kids Club, fitness center, tennis courts and swimming pools. The other Ritz-Carlton properties planned for China are: Beijing, Financial Street (2006), Beijing (at China Central Place, 2007), Guangzhou (2007), Shenzhen (2008) and Hong Kong-Kowloon (2009).
