AA Appoints New Heads of Customer Service

Following the retirement announcement by Ralph Richardi, senior vice president of customer service for American Airlines earlier this week, the carrier on Thursday promoted Bob Reding to executive vice president of operations and announced the appointment of two senior vice presidents, who will report to Reding. Reding, who has been in the airline industry for 35 years, previously served as senior vice president of technical operations for American. Reporting to Reding are Tom Del Valle, who was promoted from vice president of domestic customer service to senior vice president of airport services, and Carmine Romano, promoted to senior vice president of maintenance and engineer from vice president of base maintenance.
