The Adventure Collection Launches New Website

The Adventure Collection, an alliance of 10 adventure travel companies, announced the launch of its newly designed and engineered website. The new website features information about more than 1,000 journeys on all seven continents.

With the newly designed website, travelers can research trips according to destination, date, exertion level and type of activity. Travelers are able to see the variety of trip options available and can scan thumbnail descriptions of each trip. If requested, more information and a detailed itinerary are available about a particular trip with a single click.

“We are thrilled to be able to provide travelers with this one-stop site for fueling and fulfilling their adventure travel dreams,” says Dennis Pinto, chairman of the Adventure Collection board. “Whether you’re interested in hiking, biking, rafting, cruising, skiing or going on safari, whether your passion is culture, wildlife, cuisine, or photography, we have a journey for you and our new site will enable you to find that trip quickly and easily.”

The Adventure Collection’s new site also features a live blog hosted by travel journalist Don George. In the blog, Don’s Place, George covers adventure travel with a mix of reportage, interviews, and reviews, as well as an Ask Don section where readers submit their travel questions. Don’s Place is updated regularly with news and reports from the field.

The site offers information about each Adventure Collection member company: Backroads, Bushtracks Expeditions, Canadian Mountain Holidays, Geographic Expeditions, Lindblad Expeditions, Micato Safaris, Natural Habitat Adventures, NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School), OARS (Outdoor Adventure River Specialists), and Off the Beaten Path.
