Agents Benefit from Travelport GDS ARNE Capabilities

Travelport GDS, said that its Rapid Reprice technology is now the engine behind Apollo Automated Refunds and Exchanges (ARNE) solution. ARNE subscribers in the U.S. can now submit international itineraries for automated exchanges, along with the domestic itineraries that have been supported since ARNE was released in August of 2005.

ARNE provides agencies with a fully automated process and eliminates the time consuming manual calculation of ticket exchanges and refunds for participating carriers’ tickets. With ARNE exchange transactions now priced by Rapid Reprice, ARNE is available for pricing both domestic and international itineraries. ARNE quotations are guaranteed and customers are protected from any debit memo liability. Exchanges and refunds are electronically reported to the Airlines Reporting Corporation and are in compliance with ARC data reporting regulations, Travelport said.

ARNE subscribers enjoy the same increases in efficiency, accuracy, and reduction in debit memos with international itinerary exchanges as they have enjoyed  with domestic exchanges.

“This ARNE enhancement comes as a result of the integration of the Worldspan Rapid Reprice engine into the Apollo ARNE product,” said Flo Lugli, senior vice president, Travelport GDS.  “We are delighted to bring the benefits of our innovative Rapid Reprice technology to Apollo customers in the U.S.” The Apollo system is operated by Travelport GDS and is used by travel agencies in North America and Japan.
