Amadeus Reassures Agents About Data Security

Amadeus on Thursday reiterated its commitment to data security by announcing it had completed the Cybertrust Security Management Programme Perimeter Certification for its corporate travel management division. The certification covers the hosting operations for Amadeus e-Travel Management (Amadeus' corporate travel management solution). The company says the move confirms that it continues to meet the highest levels of security and protection from external infiltration. Jerome Destors, Director e-Travel, the e-commerce division of Amadeus, says protecting employee and financial data is more important than ever, and the system provides confidentiality, integrity and availability. The Cybertrust SMP Perimeter Certification, says Destors, reassures agents that their data is being looked after in a safe environment. In addition to ensuring that Amadeus' system maintains high levels of security across its network and e-mail, the certification includes elements that protect physical and human/administrative elements: the areas of a network that traditionally are most susceptible to viral and hacker intrusion.
