AMResorts to double portfolio by 2008

AMResorts' executives, staff, travel industry leaders and partners gathered this month to commemorate the company's success during the past five years and celebrate the future for its three brands: Secrets Resorts Spas, Dreams Resorts Spas and Sunscape Resorts Spas. As AMResorts has grown, the market has forced its model to be driven even farther. Both the initial planned room size and cost per room has nearly doubled because of North Americans' desire to have larger accommodations and more value added. Its restaurant to guest ratio has also been lowered, with its current offering being one restaurant per every 40 rooms. AMResorts' future development will continue to respond to guests' needs by identifying consumer cultural trends and incorporating them into the properties. For instance, mp3 tools will be integrated into the rooms and via wireless technology, guests will be able to check in while they are en route from the airport.
