Annie Dundas has been named Tourism New Zealand's regional manager, North America. She will be based in Santa Monica, CA, for her three-year term, and lead the destination's trade, media and marketing efforts in the U.S. and Canada, overseeing the tourist agency's offices in Los Angeles and New York.
Dundas, a 13-year veteran of Tourism New Zealand, started out of college in the Wellington office in 1995. She's had numerous roles with the tourism board, including public relations manager, North America; marketing manager, U.K.; and trade marketing manager, Wellington.
Last year, Dundas spearheaded her organization's Rugby World Cup Project in Paris, which included erecting an 82-foot giant inflatable structure, capable of holding 220 people, in the shape of a rugby ball at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. (MR)
