ARTA Re-Elects Linares and Faulds

The Association of Retail Travel Agents (ARTA) announced the 2012 ARTA Board of Directors at its meeting in  Los Angeles, including the re-election of Nancy Linares, Holidays 'N Travel, Austin, Texas as chairman. John Faulds, Travel Destinations, Phoenix, Arizona was re-elected ARTA's vice chairman and treasurer. The board also re-appointed Bruce Bishins as managing Director.

Rounding out the 2012 ARTA Executive Committee is Marjorie Laflin,  It's A Fine Day, Northridge, California as secretary, who joins the board for the first time and is president of ARTA's Southern California chapter. Gerda Myer, World Travel Management, Woodland Hills, California was re-elected member-at-large.

Also joining the board for the first time is newly elected director Michael Taylor, Maine Travel & Tours, Westbrook, Maine. Continuing on the board for an additional term are Bruce Bishins, Helen Thompson Travel, Toronto, Canada; Eleanor Bronner, Paradise Travel Service, San Francisco, California; Jane Dever, Crosby Cruises and Tours, Florida, New York; and Lynn Hayes, CWT Vacations, Greenville, South Carolina.

The board re-appointed Bruce Bishins as managing director to oversee ARTA’s day-to-day operations, communications, and services to members. Pat Funk will remain editor of ARTA’s popular Daily E-Newsletter.
