Azamara and Celebrity Praise Agents reports that three member agencies— CruCon Cruise Outlet Plus of Center Harbor, NH, Online Vacation Center of Plantation, FL, and Cruises International Inc., Schaumburg, IL— have recently been named top agencies by two major cruise lines. Azamara Cruises named Online Vacation Center its 2008 Overall Account of the Year; while Celebrity Cruises recognized CruCon as its Overall Account of the Year and Cruises International as its Central Regional Account of the Year.

“We are proud to have such successful agencies within our membership,” said Steve Tracas,’s president and CEO. “They deserve to be recognized not only for their sales figures alone, but also for the dedication of their staffs and the associated marketing efforts necessary to achieve such results in today’s competitive environment.”

“With over 90% of our bookings coming from our travel agency partners, travel agents continue to be the driving force behind our success, and we strive to make our relationship a true partnership,” said Dondra Ritzenthaler, senior vice president of sales, Celebrity Cruises and Azamara Cruises.

This recognition follows other recent awards by member agencies, noticeably CruCon and of Port Everglades, FL, for being named 2008 Travel Partners of the Year by Royal Caribbean International.
