Banyan Tree Holdings Limited last week named Luca Deplano vice president of marketing.
Deplano will manage brand position as the hotel and resort development company makes an aggressive global growth push to double its number of properties by 2013. He will specialize in growing the group's e-business and aligning its marketing strategies to become more customer-focused.

Deplano has worked for longer than a decade in business development and strategic planning or marketing. He has assisted with marketing at American Express, Prada, Furla, and Cerruti 1881.
