Carlson Hotels Worldwide has promoted Raj Rana to the position of regional vice president of operations for full-service hotels in the Americas. Rana's new role will comprise of approving new franchised hotels and resorts, and providing field support and operations expertise. Much of Rana's 20 years of hotel experience have been spent with Carlson, most recently as general manager of the company's flagship hotel, the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Minneapolis.
