The top three New Year's resolutions that travel agents have made to improve their business in 2014 include hiring additional staff, using social media and traveling more, reports CCRA Travel Solutions.
CCRA says the resolutions are the results of its December travel agent blog survey, identifying the top three business New Year's resolutions reported by travel agents for 2014.
Travel agents who participated in CCRA’s December "Wednesday Rewards" Contest were asked to submit their responses.
These top ranked New Year's Resolutions suggest that in 2014 travel professionals are planning to grow their businesses by hiring new staff and employees, to use social media more to build their brand and increase their online presence, and to enhance their travel planning and destination expertise by taking more personal or agent familiarization trips, CCRA says.
Other travel agent contest submissions described plans to build more relationships with local businesses through community networking, enhance agency websites, use client testimonials in marketing efforts, and set aside more time to call previous clients, CCRA says.
Commenting on the blog survey results, Dic Marxen, president and CEO of CCRA said, "We were delighted to learn how travel agents plan to boost their business in 2014, and look forward to providing agents with helpful tips to earn more income, use social media effectively and consider new travel destinations in the New Year through our upcoming blog posts. Our CCRA Travel Agent blog remains an integral part of our enhanced agency engagement efforts, which also include our CCRA Power Solutions travel events taking place in cities across the country in 2014.
