Club Med Buccaneer's Creek Appoints Michel Asmar as GM

Club Med Buccanneer's CreekOn the Caribbean island of Martinique, Club Med Buccaneer's Creek has appointed Michel Asmar as its new general manager. Having joined the beachfront resort last March, Michel takes the helm this spring following his work throughout the region, including positions in St. Domingo and Cuba and more recently in Martinique for the Accor group.

Surrounded by blue lagoon waters, on its own peninsula, the fully renovated Club Med resort has 289 rooms in one- to three-story bungalows. Resort activities include snorkeling, swimming, tennis and waterskiing, as well as wakeboarding, windsurfing, and excursions touring the Hardy and Cap Chevalier Isles, Sainte Lucie and St. Pierre. During their stay, guests can choose from The Pays Mélés, which serves international buffets, surrounded by cocunut trees. Alternately, the restaurant/bar, Lo, the restaurant/bar, alongside the beach, serves light lunches, including salad and grilled meats, and Asian-West Indian fare during the evening.
