Like many other media outlets, CNN highlights an agent’s ability to book on-the-ground activities that are important to their clients.

"The average traveler is spending something like ... nine web sessions and visiting 21 websites in order to book their travel," Mark Orwoll, an editor of Travel + Leisure magazine, said to CNN.

CNN also noted that, while the travel industry was hit harder than most at the start of the recession, it also rebounded faster.
