Collette Vacations Names Danny Smart National Accounts Manager, West Coast

Collette Vacations announced Wednesday that Danny Smart will be the new national accounts manager of the company's West Coast operations. Smart will oversee national accounts in the western US and western Canada, and will work to support Collette's preferred agent partnerships in those regions. He will report directly to vice president of sales Frank Marini and will work closely with Collette's sales and marketing teams in this new, expanded role.

Smart began his career at Collette in 2005 after sponsoring a sales meeting in his role as Director of Sales at the Casa Munras Hotel in Monterey, Calif. At Casa Munras, Smart started as a front desk representative before moving up to sales manager and later director of sales, the position he held just prior to joining Collette.

"Danny has done an amazing job in the past five years in northern California as our District Sales Manager establishing himself as one of the top producers on Collette's West Coast team," said Marini.  "With our record-setting growth in 2010 - the best in Collette's history - we are expanding our national accounts team and look forward to having Danny's leadership and enthusiasm in this key position."

A graduate of Cal State Monterey Bay, with a degree in International Management and Entrepreneurship, Smart's prior professional experience includes work within the marketing department of the Monterey Bay Convention and Visitors Bureau. He resides in Santa Cruz, Calif.
