Country Walkers Ushers in New President

On Wednesday, Timo Shaw was named the new president of Country Walkers, a walking tour operator geared toward small groups. Shaw is now responsible for all operations and developments at the company, which currently runs over 70 walking, hiking, family and snowshoeing itineraries worldwide. Previously, Shaw held positions with Travcoa and TCS Expeditions, brands that, like Country Walkers, fall under the First Choice umbrella. He also has held management roles at Cruise West and Expedia, as well as Air New Zealand and the New Zealand Tourism Board, which is his native country. "Timo has worked for many years in specialized, highly personalized travel that focuses on creating life-enriching experiences, and he possesses an incredible passion and drive to build on Country Walkers already admirable reputation," said Jerre Fuqua, president of First Choice Expeditions.
