Cruise Planners- American Express Travel CEO and Co-founder Michelle Fee was honored at CLIA’s recent cruise3sixtry event by being inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame with the Travel Advisor Award.
Fee was introduced by Cruise Planners COO Vicky Garcia and Royal Caribbean International’s Senior Vice President, Sales, Trade Support and Services, Vicki Freed.
“Being inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame is a testament to how far passion, dedication and hard work can take you,” said Fee. “I’m sharing this induction and recognition with the executive team [which includes CFO Tom Kruszewski and Vice President of Technology, Brian Shultz] as well as the Cruise Planners Home Office team and all of our home-based agents," Fee said.
Fee co-founded Cruise Planners in 1994 and under her leadership Cruise Planners has become the nation’s largest home-based travel agent franchise networks in the cruise industry with 900 agents.
In addition to being inducted into the CLIA Hall of Fame, Fee has won numerous awards over the years for her work including being named one of the “Top 25 Most Extraordinary Minds” in sales and marketing by the Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association, “Top 25 Most Influential Business Women” by the South Florida Business Journal and Travel Agent magazine’s “Power Women in Travel”.
Headquartered in Coral Springs, Fla., Cruise Planners has achieved top producer status with every major cruise line and was cited for the American Express Travel Representative Excellence Award for eight years in a row (2004 – 2011) and named American Express Agency of the Year in 2010.
