Travel Insured International has named Marc Flood senior vice president of sales and business development. Flood brings to Travel Insured extensive expertise in securing and managing contracts to provide group healthcare and financial services to corporate, student and government organizations.
His focus at Travel Insured will be on developing travel protection contracts with wholesalers, cruise and tour operator suppliers, affinity travel groups, medical insurance providers, student organizations and potential clients in the corporate travel sector.

Flood most recently was vice president of sales and marketing at POMCO Group, based in Syracuse, NY, where he was responsible for all sales, business development and marketing communications for one of the nation’s largest-third party administrators for group medical, dental and workers’ compensation insurance. He is a licensed insurance agent in New York State with a business degree in economics and management from SUNY Cortland.
Flood started at POMCO in 1999 as director of sales and marketing and was promoted to vice president in 2001. While directly involved in three business acquisitions, he helped reposition the company as a leading national professional benefits administrator. Prior to joining POMCO, Flood served as manager of interactive marketing at The MRA Group, a Syracuse-based advertising agency.
