Global Hotel Alliance Welcomes Two New Shareholders

Global Hotel Alliance (GHA), an alliance of independent hotel brands and operator of the multi-brand loyalty program, DISCOVERY, has received substantial investments from two new shareholders that will enable it to accelerate its strategic growth plans. 

The two new shareholders are Minor Hotels, the Bangkok-based operator of more than 160 hotels under a global family of brands including Anantara, AVANI, Elewana, Tivoli and Oaks; and Pan Pacific Hotels Group, based in Singapore, which operates 32 hotels across Asia, Australasia and North America under the Pan Pacific and PARK ROYAL brands. Minor CEO Dillip Rajakarier and Pan Pacific CEO Lothar Nessmann will both sit on the GHA board.

Minor Hotels has been involved with the Global Hotel Alliance since 2007 with its Anantara brand and Pan Pacific was a founding member of GHA in 2004. 

GHA was advised on this transaction by PwC Corporate Finance and Addleshaw Goddard as legal advisors.  

Global Hotel Alliance brings together 33 brands with over 550 hotels in 77 countries.
