GM Comes to Mandarin Barcelona

Luis Marco has been named general manager of Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, slated to open in early 2009. Marco has held a number of senior management positions, at such hotels as Hamilton Princess in Bermuda, The Sir Francis Drake in San Francisco and the Pierre Marques in Acapulco. The Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona, will be a 98-room luxury hotel on Paseo de Gracia. Plans call for restaurants, bars, alfresco dining and the hotel group's trademark spa.
